Kinfire Chronicles: Night’s Fall

Feyn is a fun-loving bard whose wit is as sharp as his blade. He is a jack-of-all-trades with a deck that features several white cards, making him invaluable during skill checks and battle. In a bind, he’s always the one his teammates can count on. Magic incantations are weaved into his songs, giving him the ability to heal his teammates. With the ability to have two magical wards in play at once, he’s a powerful presence on the battlefield. Feyn hails from the Crimson City, which many assume to be lost to the Darkness, but he is reluctant to talk about his past.

Feyn stands fairly tall with long, dark hair that he wears in beaded dreads. He has a care-free, roguish appearance and wears clothes that are as colorful as his personality. He carries his lute on his back wherever he goes in case the mood for a song strikes, which it often does. His playful grin and smoky eyes give him an attractive and mysterious appeal.

Roland is a stout, dwarven scholar with the ability to summon flame. He has extensive knowledge of magical runes and spells. His ability to use boosts on any of his fellow Seekers’ actions makes him a loyal and devoted teammate ready to jump in whenever help is needed. When he’s at his best and able to plan ahead, Roland can overwhelm the enemy with a flurry of status effects before dealing a monstrous blow.

Roland is 4’10 and stout with flaming red hair and well-tended beard. He is 47 years old, which is considered fairly young for a dwarf. His attire is made mostly of heat-resistant cloth and leather. When not on assignment, he can usually be found with his head in a book and his tiny glasses perched on the tip of his nose.

Asha is a former assassin who rebelled against her training. She keeps out of sight and skulks around the battlefield before finding an opportunity to strike with just the right sneak attack. She is quiet and stealthy, but tends to be a bit selfish in battle, wanting to do things her own way.

Asha is fairly small in stature and at 29, she is young for an elf. Her curly hair is styled in a mohawk and dyed with streaks of red. She carries a dagger gifted to her by her older brother after their parents passed away. Her prosthetic hand has sharpened blades in the place of fingers, making her a fierce foe in close-quarters combat.

Khor is a revenant, a new type of being given life through the magic of kinfire. Their impenetrable metal shell is inhabited by a soul from beyond with no memory of their past. Khor is selfless in battle, always willing to leap in front of attacks, taking damage in place of their teammates. The kinfire burning within their body allows them easy access to earth magic and protective spells and also protects them from the Darkness. They also have always had a soft spot for living creatures big and small and can always be found accompanied by their loyal pet mothling, Flickers.

Khor is tall and broad with a finely-crafted metal shell. Holes cut into their body provide a window into their kinfire core, which burns with an intense glow from their head. They were created only ten years ago, but while they have no memory of their past life, they retain a wealth of common knowledge from their previous self.

Valora is a tough but sophisticated archer with a positive outlook. She comes from an aristocratic background and chose to leave her wealthy family’s estate for a different kind of life. She has a desire to protect the innocent and believes that she can make a difference by fighting for what’s right. She also enjoys games and isn’t afraid to risk a sizable bit of coin on a bet. Her skills with a bow are unmatched and her ranged attacks allow her to stay out of reach of the enemy while still dealing powerful blows. (She is also the most straightforward character to play and is good for beginners.)

Valora is tall and fair with dark, flowing hair that she keeps tied back in a braid. She dresses well and her clothes are fairly expensive for an adventurer, with colorful silks and fine feathers. The bow she carries was a gift from her father, who first trained her. She carefully crafts the fletching of her arrows with colorful peafowl feathers, which are considered good luck.

Naz is an orcish strategist with a skill for command. She has flawless combat instincts and is able to quickly formulate the best plan of attack.  Her skills at wind magic give her the ability to move her teammates around the battlefield at a moment’s notice. As an orc, she can sense changes in the weather as well as an oncoming Starless Night. Although she comes from a farming family, Naz has the spirit of a fighter and an adventurer.

Naz has green skin dotted with patches of hydrating algae and yellow eyes. Like most orcs, she has small, sharp tusks growing from her top and bottom jaw. She is large in stature and has an imposing physical presence, towering above her fellow Seekers. While she wears spiked armor over her shoulders, she keeps the rest of her attire lightweight and comfortable for her thirsty, orcish skin. She wears the colors of her family sigil in order to honor them.
