How did you come up with the idea for this game?
Kevin Wilson, Game Designer, originally created A Gentle Rain as a Christmas present for friends and family in 2013. He wanted to make a game that could be played solo or with a group of friends. He aimed to create a zen, calming experience to alleviate the stress of the holiday season. At the time, he was dealing off-and-on with anxiety attacks by doing jigsaw puzzles. He tapped into that emotional experience to create A Gentle Rain.

How many players can play?
One or more players! The game is perfect solo, but you can add additional players by taking turns. In our own homes, we found that young kids naturally gravitate towards this simple-to-learn game.
What age is this game appropriate for?
The game is recommended for children 8 years or older, and it does contain small parts that are not suitable for children younger than 3 years of age.
How long does a game take?
The wonderful part about this game is that you can get through a session in 15 minutes or less. It fits nicely into an unexpected wait-- maybe you're on hold or waiting for dinner to arrive or finish. Maybe you play a quick game before your partner comes home. Whatever the moment, it's ready for you-- sets up and cleans up quickly. Takes very little space.
